Regional Alliance for Truth and Racial Reconciliation
On March 17-19, 2006, The Birmingham Pledge, Southern Truth and Reconciliation (STAR), and the William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliationthe hosted a conference at the University of Mississippi, where the Winter Institute resides. Out of this conference—called Southern Exposure: A Regional Summit on Racial Violence and Reconciliation— grew our regional alliance, creating a network of organizations dedicated to similar ideals, who seek to serve local community needs throughout the South. Below is information from the March 2006 conference.
